Thank you for registering Ship Battle and supporting future development on the TI Avigo!

Thanks to: Gerard Vermeulen, Hans B Pufal, Ian Rowlings, Bill Baxter, Willie Macris, and my wife for her support.

Your Fleet of Ships include:
	Patrol Boat 2 squares
	U-Boat 3 squares
	Submarine 3 squares
	Gun Boat 4 squares
	Aircraft Carrier	5 squares

Ship Battle Mission:
To sink your opponents fleet before your fleet is sunk.

To Play Ship Battle:
Choose the type of game you wish to play.
Player vs Avigo - Challenge the Avigo to a game.
Player vs Player - Play against a friend on your Avigo.
*Player vs IR Player - Go head-to-head using two Avigo's.
*Search and Rescue - A race against time to find a lost ship.

Level of Avigo play: (Player vs Avigo Only)
When playing against the Avigo, you must first choose the difficulty of the Avigo player.
Novice - A good starting level
*Easy - A little more intelligent
*Hard - Here is where the challenge sets in
*Difficult - Better find those ships fast!

*Not available in the unregistered demo version.

Setting up your fleet*: (Not available in Search and Rescue)
In any of the above games, except Search and Rescue, the first step in Ship Battle is to setup your ships on the playing field. You setup your ships by dragging them around and rotating them.
To Drag a ship - press your pen on a ship and drag it
NOTE: The ships can jump over other ships, just keep dragging.
To Rotate a ship - tap the ship
NOTE: If the ship does not rotate, make sure it has enough room by dragging it, also try tapping on other parts of the ship.

The ships can be placed anywhere on the field, but they cannot be placed on top of another ship. Once you are satisfied with where your ships are placed, press the [Done] button above the playing field.

*Not available in the unregistered demo version.

The type of game you are playing determines what happens next:
Player vs Avigo - The game will now begin.
Player vs Player - Follow the on-screen instructions and let the other player setup their game.
*Player vs IR Player - The Avigo will wait for the other player to finish setting up their game.

*Not available in the unregistered demo version.

Game Layout:
The small playing field in the upper left corner is where you watch how your fleet of ships are doing in the battle. Your ships are shown in Black.
	White = Water
	Black = Your Ship

The large playing field is where you attack your opponent. Your opponents ships are hidden.

Question: How do I tell if it is my turn?
Answer: You can tell when it is your turn when the border of the large playing field is blinking.

Hiding your ship positions: (Player vs Player, or Player vs IR Player only)
It is useful to hide your ship positions while playing against another person. This allows your ship positions to be kept secret. To hide the ships, check the menu item named "Hide Ships" To show hidden ships, uncheck the menu item. While ships are hidden, you can press on the small grid to temporarily show the ship positions.

To Take your turn:
Press and release the pen on any square in your opponents playing field. This will cause your fleet to fire upon this spot and hit whatever is there. The following list describes what can happen:
White with a Black X means that you hit the water
Black with a White X means that you hit one of your opponents ships
A Ship turns Grey means that you sunk one of your opponents ships

Your opponent takes a turn:
Watch the small playing field for a hit. The hit will flash three times for clarity. The following list describes what can happen:
White with Black X means that your opponent hit the water
Black with White X means that your ship has been hit
A Ship turns Grey means that your opponent has sunk one of your ships

Game over:
The game ends when all of the ships are sunk in your, or your opponents, fleet. At the end of the game the statistics of the game are shown, as well as the positions of the un-hit ships. After reviewing the ship positions, you have the option of starting a new type of game or playing the same game again.

Decoding the statistics:
Lets say that your statistics were - 17/43 (39%)
17 shots were hits on ships
43 shots were taken over the entire game.
39% of the shots taken were hits on ships.

*Playing Search and Rescue:
A ship has been placed on the playing field by the Avigo. It is your job to find it as quickly and efficiently as you can. As soon as you start, a timer will keep track of how long it took. The number of hits will also be kept track of.

*Not available in the unregistered demo version.
