- Balou and Redlemons present: A Quake III: Arena Shotgun Replacement


						DER KRACHMACHER


Date: November 13, 2001


Description: Der Krachmacher is our fourth weapon together. A tiny reference image from the Men in Black film provided an 	     idea for the model and skin, the rest is totally original. The emphasis is on visuals with this project, hence 	     the high polycount and two 512x512 skins.


The Model: Level of Detail models are included: LOD2 925 polygons - LOD1 1223 polygons - Normal 2011 polygons.
	   Reference was a weapon from the film Men In Black.



The Skin: Two 512x512 textures make up the main weapon skin, with a 64x64 texture used for the ejecting shell. A 128x128 muzzle flash is also used. All textures were made in Paint Shop Pro 6 and Photoshop 6.



The sounds: Sounds were editing using Goldwave and Windows Sound Recorder, free sounds downloaded from the net and my own microphone.



How to install DER KRACHMACHER: Unzip the zip file into your Quake III: Arena baseq3 directory, you will then have         				the wep3-krachmacher.pk3 and this readme file in your baseq3 folder. Please check to make 				sure there are no other shotgun (wep3) replacements in this folder.


How to uninstall DER KRACHMACHER: Delete the wep3-krachmacher.pk3 and this readme file from your baseq3 folder.
