Installation:

This is a beta upgrade to Version 1.0 of Rune Quake. Extract the RQ3v2Beta2.pk3 file into your Rune folder.

To make sure you have all the files you need as of this release, make sure you have RQ3v100.pk3, RQ3v2Beta1.pk3, and RQ3v2Beta2.pk3 in your Rune folder

What's new in Version 2 Beta 2

This is a compatibility upgrade to fix many bugs with Rune and Quake 3 1.30. There have been an enormous amount of tweaks and fixes in this Beta, all of which are detailed on the website.

I highly recommend checking out the website. It has a complete listing of every rune and every feature in the mod as well as a lot of strategy and tips and tricks for each rune.

Check out the Rune Quake 3 website

Enjoy!

Credits

Thanks once again to Michael Tschimperle for some absolutely astounding graphic work. You give color and life to my code.

Thanks to Slot Zero and Barracuda for some hard-core deep beta and bug testing. Without these guys, this mod wouldn't be anywhere near as complete, balanced, or (relatively heheh) bug free.

Thanks to Slight of Challenge Pro Mode (http://www.challenge-world.com/projects/q3a_mod/q3a_mod_intro.shtml) for the use of his backpack model and skin

Thanks to Donald Gray for his help with coding some of the rune effects.

Thanks to the guys at Code3Arena (http://www.planetquake.com/code3arena), Quake Style (http://quakestyle.telefragged.com/tuts.shtml), Inolen (http://www.inolen.com), and Splat Fest (http://www9.50megs.com/caleb/tuts_a.htm) for providing some awesome public tutorials that help out all the guys like me doing Quake3 mods. You guys kick ass.

Thanks to Killer Hardware (http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/rog3d/hardware/) for the use of their grenade launcher model.

Thanks to GENQIII (http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/genq3/) for the use of their machine gun model.

Thanks to all the members of the clan Quantum Flux, Firethorn and the guys at CaRNaGGe May 2000, and everyone else who helped beta test and playtest this mod. I have great ideas as to how things should work, but without good beta testers this mod would have been great for me and not for anyone else.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the "Create a Rune" contest. Special thanks to Matthew Barker who won that contest with his Exclusion, Transference, and Force Field ideas, and who waited so patiently for me to send him his prize.

Big thanks to the Reqiuem Q3 Team (http://www.reqoning.com/) for use of their very nice conversions of the original Q1 rune models.

Special thanks to IA_Lanky, IA_Red, and IA_Buliwulf for their time spent getting together screenshots for the website.

Thanks to PlantQuake.com for featuring Rune Quake 3 as its Mod of the Week.

HUGE thanks to PC Gamer, UK for placing this mod on their cover CD.

Lastly, thank you for playing my mod. I've invested a lot of time and effort into it, but its all paid off when I see a server full of people having the time of their lives.
