Open Office is an open source project aimed at developing a free and compatible alternative to software like Microsoft Office. It is a spin-off of Sun Microsystems' StarOffice, based on code released by Sun under the LGPL. Both stable and development versions are available in this mirror on a variety of operating systems and architectures including Windows, Mac, Sun and various Linux distributions.
