KDE is a free, open source desktop environment for Unix-style operating systems. It strives to provide an easy-to-use, functional and aesthetically pleasing graphical user interface in the spirit of the Macintosh and Windows desktop environments. A variety of applications have been built for use with KDE and many come with the initial installation. This mirror contains the full KDE source code; prepackaged distributions for individual operating systems are generally located under each operating system.s own mirror.
