This CDROM was designed with education in mind. My hopes for the CDROM are to provide those in the educational field easier access to Space Shuttle material. This CDROM was not only developed with education in mind, but also the frustration I faced while searching for materials pertaining to the Space Shuttle. For anyone that is interested in the Space Shuttle or those just interested in the space program you will find that this CDROM provides a great wealth of information. This CDROM contains: 3132 JPG files (640x480-256 Colors) 1900 Text Files (Both in plan ASCII text format and ZIP) 25+ Sounds Clips (WAV Format) Assorted Shuttle related MSDOS Applications Assorted Graphic Viewing Programs All images & text files are directly from NASA public archives sites such as: spacelink.msfc.nasa.gov, explorer.arc.nasa.gov, images.jsc.nasa.gov, and gopher.gsfc.nasa.gov. Each shuttle mission from STS-1 to STS-68 is represented with its own mission image directory. Each directory contains a catalog of JPG's. Each JPG catalog file is labeled cat_*.JPG and contains up to 16 thumb nail images from that directory. Other categories on the disc include the 747 Shuttle Ferry, flight deck instrumentation panels, space shuttle main engines, and related images. All directories contain files.bbs, 00_index.txt, descript.ion & wildcat.txt files to make the CDROM BBS ready.
