Search Plug-ins
Search Plug-ins for WannaBe
WannaBe uses the same search plug-in format that is used by
Apple's Sherlock application. Therefore, the same plug-ins can
be used for both applications. However, you do NOT need
to have the Sherlock application or a newer version of MacOS
to use the plug-ins. As long as WannaBe works, the plug-ins
should too.
At the time of this writing, the most
recent version of WannaBe (1.0a26), does not automatically scan for
plug-ins. To use one, you must choose "Search Using Plug-in..."
from the "Go" menu, then use the standard dialog to find and open
the plug-in you wish to use.
Bug with using Search Plug-ins
I'm still working on implementing support for the HTTP POST method.
If a plug-in/search site uses this method, the plug-in will not work with
WannaBe.
