I wrote version 0.01 of this program in 2 days with the help of glade
(http://glade.gnome.org) and found it quite useful. For a description of
the current features see the manual page.

The xcall homepage is at http://people.debian.org/~pa3aba/xcall.html

I hope to extend this program a bit further in the near future. At the moment
xcall can make AX.25, netrom and rose connections and send what you type,
show what you receive. It would be nice if xcall would get the same
functionality as call, from the ax25-apps sources.

Debian packages for xcall are at http://packages.debian.org/xcall.
Slackware packages are build by Arno Verhoeven, PE1ICQ. You can get them at:
http://sharon.pi8zaa.ampr.org/pub/linux/slackware-current/contrib/ham/ax25

For installation and build instructions see the file INSTALL, distributed
with the source code.
