  When first started the background is white instead of black. Only on 8 bpp
  displays. Have tried to reproduce it, without success. Arno uses slackware
  7.0 with KDE. Both KDE 1.1 and 2.0 have this problem. Bug ID: 409338.

* Leo Bistmans
  After using Preferences dialog for the first time, clicking OK would coredump
  xconvers. The new config information I entered was saved ( auto login call &
  channel ). Since the bug was reproducable and the core was debugable( gdb
  xconvers core ) it became clear fclose() was called on a NULL pointer logfp.
  Bug ID: 414558. Fixed in xconvers 0.6.1
