Basic Information

freezetag is an id3 tag editor for GTK+-1.2.0 and higher. It currently
supports adding directories recursively, changing multiple tags at a time,
and the viewing of current tags. In addition to viewing and changing tags,
freezetag can also rename your files based on the tag from a format specifier
Also, since freezetag uses GTK+ 1.2.0+, it takes advantage of your GTK+ themes;
this is looked for as ~/.gnome/gtkrc. freezetag is available under the
GNU General Public License.

Requirements

GTK+ 1.2.0+
X11R6 (theoretically, you could be using a different GDK abstraction, but
	I haven't used anything other than X; so I can't fix it otherwise ;)

Installation

There are two ways you can install freezetag currently, from a binary RPM
or a source tarball.

I am building the RPMs on a machine running RedHat 5.2 currently. You need
to be sure and have gtk+ 1.2.0 RPMs installed to install the RPM.

Installation from the source tarball is the normal Unix install --
./configure
make
make install

configure accepts the normal options as it was generated using autoconf.
If you have problems with my configure script, please let me know.

Bug Reports

Like most developers, I think that bug reports are a good thing (well,
the bugs aren't, but I'd prefer to hear about them than have them sit
waiting to hit someone else ;). Please e-mail any problems which you
have with freezetag to me at katzj@linuxpower.org
