Adding and Editing VCS Commands

The command editor allows you to add, remove, and edit the commands in your VCS profile. You can save the changes to an individual filesystem or to the VCS profile itself.

To add a new command to a filesystem or VCS profile:

1. Open the command editor for a filesystem by doing one of the following:
   • Right-click the filesystem in the Explorer and choose Customize. In the Advanced tab, click Edit Commands.
   • Right-click the filesystem in the Explorer and choose Properties. Click the ellipsis (...) button in the Commands property.

   The command editor lists all of the profile's existing commands in the left pane of the command editor. Select any command and edit its properties in the right pane.

   The top-level folder contains a subfolder that is named after the VCS profile. Any commands in this folder appear in the filesystem's VCS commands menu.

2. Decide if you want to add or cut or copy and paste a command.
   • To add a command, right-click a folder node and choose Add  Command. Commands in the inner folder appear in that profile's VCS commands submenu.
   • To cut or copy and paste a command, right-click an existing command and choose Cut, Copy, or Paste.

     Use the Move Up and Move Down commands to change the order in which the commands appear in the VCS commands submenu.

3. Expand the folder's node if necessary, select the node for the command you just created, and set the properties.
4. Add the command to the current filesystem or the current VCS profile:
   • To add the command to the current filesystem, click OK to close the command editor. Then close the Customizer.
   • To add the command to the current VCS profile, click OK to close the command editor. Then click the Back button to return to the Profile tab. Click Save As, select the current profile from the list, and click Save. Changes to a VCS profile do not apply to filesystems mounted before the change was made.

You can also use folders and separators to organize the version control commands in your VCS commands submenu.
