In the IDE, Java packages are represented by the same folder icons that represent directories.
When you a copy and paste a Java file in the IDE, the file's package declaration is adjusted according to the package hierarchy in the mounted filesystem.
To create a package:
Java Package from the contextual menu.
Then type the package name and click Finish.
For example, if you type mysuperpackage.mypackage, the directory mysuperpackage is created with the directory mypackage inside of it. If you create a package from a package node, the new package is a sub-package of the existing package.

You can also create a new package in the New wizard when you create a new object. In the Target Location page of the wizard, type the name of the package in the Package field. The IDE generates a directory structure to match the package name that you type. The Target Location page only appears if you open the wizard from the File menu. |
