You shouldn't have too many problems compiling this on your system if you
follow these couple of guide-lines:

1. Edit the file "makefile" and modify it to suit your system. I have
included some notes inside the makefile to assist you. It is most
important that you have any "-D" directives specified correctly,
specially those relating to your system architecture and those defining
the default printer, the print command and the preferred "more" type
   command.

2. Now try to build it by typing "make" :-)

If you are going to have problems, they will most probably result from
including the wrong header file or not including one that should be
included. The file "define.h" tries to sort out what files should be
included from where, but you may need to edit this file to suit your
system. Any information you can send the author that he could build into
the source to simplify installation for others would be gratefully
received.

PCPS has been confirmed to compile and run correctly on the following
systems so far:

Bull DPX2
Bull DPX20
DEC ULTRIX
FreeBSD
IBM RS6000
HP_UX
NetBSD
NeXT
Linux
Sun386i, Sun3, Sun4 running SunOS
Sun4 running Solaris 2.2+
