_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     "Any R color" to RGB (red/green/blue) conversion.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     col2rgb(col, alpha = FALSE)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

     col: vector of any of the three kind of R colors, i.e., either a
          color name (an element of 'colors()'), a hexadecimal string
          of the form '"#rrggbb"', or an integer 'i' meaning
          'palette()[i]'.

   alpha: logical value indicating whether alpha channel values should
          be returned.

_D_e_t_a_i_l_s:

     For integer colors, '0' is shorthand for the current 'par("bg")',
     and 'NA' means "nothing" which effectively does not draw the
     corresponding item.

     For character colors, '"NA"' is equivalent to 'NA' above.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     an integer matrix with three or four rows and number of columns
     the length (and names if any) as 'col'.

_A_u_t_h_o_r(_s):

     Martin Maechler

_S_e_e _A_l_s_o:
