Requirements
------------
GTK+ 1.2.0 or higher.
The current version has only been tested with GTK+ 1.2.6.

Features
--------
Beside the fact that the theme is extremely good-looking
it also has the following big features:
 * The scrollbars are patched to be in the corners, as under
   Amiga and NeXTStep.
 * Pane resizing handles are patched to span the full lines.
   They are also drawn different.
 * Infernal - a "Helvetica condensed"-lookalike font is included.
Based on Helvetica, MS Sans-Serif and XHelvetica.

For the rest of the small features, see ChangeLog.
Future versions of Xenophilia are intended to contain
more patches to improve the look and feel of GTK+ programs.

Installation
------------
See the file INSTALL.

Configuration
-------------
See the file CONFIGURATION or Xenophilia/README.html.

Background and Inspiration
--------------------------
I wrote this theme engine because the default drawing code in
GTK+ produces ugly output.

I designed the theme to look good with Window Maker and Netscape.
If you think it looks like Windoze 95, you should know that the look
of that is largely a rip-off of NeXTStep's.

The code was based on GtkStep 1.5 by Ullrich Hafner, but has evolved
a great deal since that. More than 90% of the code has been rewritten.

The name "Xenophilia" has nothing to do with "The X-Files". =)
It is in tribute to a great icon artist on Amiga who had the nickname "Xen".

Things not included, but that may be of interest
------------------------------------------------
 * A great file manager called "gentoo". It uses the two-pane concept, it
is very powerful as it has many configurable options - and all through
a GUI. I made the icons and the custom GTK+ widgets that are used.
   Download from http://www.obsession.se/gentoo/.

 * I have also ported the Amiga font "XEN" (made by Xen) to X.
It also has the name "Xenophilia", available from my homepage
   at http://www.obsession.se/johan/art.html#fonts.
