October Record Month For UK Mirror Service

The University of Kent Computing Laboratory's UK Mirror Service has had its busiest month yet racking up over 154 Tebibytes (over Two hundred thousand CD's worth or five CD's a minute) of outbound traffic mainly due to openSuse and Ununtu releases during the last month. The service peeked out at about seven and a half thousand concurrent downloads with a peek flow rate of 935 Mbits/s.

Heavy usage look's likely to continue with the release from the Fedora Project causing another surge at the beginning of this month.
